- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- 3/4 cup Raw Blanched Filberts (Hazelnuts)
- 3/4 cup Coconut Sugar
- 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/3 cup Butter (at room temperature)
- 1 tbsp Amaretto Liquor (substitute w/rum, cognac or other liquor)
- Vanilla Extract
- Salt

Instructions
- Prepare all the required ingredients.
- Place hazelnuts and sugar in a food processor and crush until fine.
- In a bowl, mix previously sifted flour and cacao.
- Cut butter into large pieces and add to the bowl. Add hazelnuts with sugar, vanilla extract, amaretto and salt. Mix well and make a dough.
- Wrap the dough in plastic and place in a fridge for about 30 min.
- Remove the dough from the fridge. Make small balls out of the dough and place them on a baking tray. Use your hands or spoon to slightly flatten them.
- Bake cookies for about 10 to 15 min at 350F. Make sure they are not overbaked as overbaking will cause them to be dry.
- Let the cookies cool down. Enjoy with a cup of hot tea or a shot of ice cold Amaretto! Bon Nuppetie!
