Instructions
- Prepare all the required ingredients.
- Choose nice large juicy figs for this recipe - NutStop.com offers the perfect ones. If your figs are relatively dry, you can soak them in hot water for 10-15 min. to rehydrate them.
- Lightly crush walnuts in a food processor or finely chop them.
- Mix walnuts and a little bit of coconut oil in a bowl. The mixture should be slightly wet and juicy.
- Make a tiny cut on the bottom of each fig. Carefully stuff each fig with the coconut walnuts. Make sure the cut doesn't get too big so that the fig will hold all the stuffing.
- Melt chocolate in a bowl over hot water on a low heat - do not let it come to a boil!
- Turn off the heat and hold each stuffed fig by the stem and dip them in the decadent chocolate. Cover as much of the fig as possible with the chocolate.
- Place figs on a tray so they do not touch each other. Put the tray in a freezer for about 30 min.
- Keep the figs in a fridge and serve them cooled. Bon Nuppetie!
